In 2010, I embarked on a journey to become a teacher and enrolled on a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education). I obtained QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in 2011 and have been teaching ever since, from nursery all the way up to Year 6.
I spent four years teaching English at the Ecole Bilingue, Paddington and then spent another four years teaching part-time in a French nursery at la Petite Ecole Bilingue in Notting Hill, London, whilst developing Follow the Rainbow. Now, my time is fully dedicated to spreading the love to kids and families through Kids Yoga & Mindfulness through classes and holiday camps!
In my Kids Yoga & Mindfulness classes, I implement successful behaviour management strategies and techniques that I have been refining over the years. My approach to children is warm, nurturing and responsive. I set limits and create proper boundaries, encouraging children to do the same with me and with each other.
Having discovered yoga in 2014, I pursued this new-found passion, practising regularly at the Jivumukti Yoga studio in Notting Hill, London. The emotional and physical benefits I reaped from this regular practise led me to want to deepen my practise even further. In 2018, I embarked on a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sangye Yoga School, Notting Hill , whilst maintaining a full-time teaching position at the Ecole Bilingue, in Paddington. I currently teach adult Vinyasa yoga classes on a weekly basis in Ealing and on Zoom.
In February 2019, I completed a 3 day Level 1 Rainbow Kids Yoga training with Benjamin Hart in Amsterdam. This teacher training provided me with a well-rounded, in-depth learning experience through a combination of play, practical theory and fun. In June 2021, I completed the 95 hours Level 2 Rainbow Kids Yoga Training online. Thanks to these trainings, I feel confident in planning, delivering and assessing Kids Yoga & Mindfulness classes and courses, designed specifically for children aged 2 to 11 years old.
