Why did you become a Kids Yoga teacher? I had already been teaching yoga for several years when I became a mother, so it felt like a natural step to start teaching children as well. Having my two girls inspired me to share the benefits of movement and mindfulness with all children.
What do you enjoy most about it? I love the genuine connection with children: their playfulness, their spontaneity, and of course, all the giggles.
What’s your favourite yoga pose? That’s a difficult one!I have many favourites. But if I had to choose, I’d say Tree Pose. It requires strength, balance, and focus, while also bringing a sense of confidence and calm. It really captures the essence of yoga for me. I also love partner poses in Kids Yoga, like Lizard on a Rock, Warrior Friends, and Double Boat.
Aside from yoga, what else do you love? I love sunshine and being in nature! Going for a walk on a sunny day with my family and my dog is my idea of pure happiness. I love swimming too! At home, I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles ,-) I often say it’s my other form of zen.
According to you, what makes a really great Kids Yoga class? I believe in learning to navigate both the highs and the lows. For me, a great Kids Yoga class includes moments of energy and silliness, lots of fun, but also time to slow down, refocus, and find calm. And of course, I want children to leave with a big smile on their face!
