Why did you become a Kids Yoga teacher? I have always loved working with children and after ten years of working as a primary school teacher, I decided to combine both my passions, children and yoga and ever since I’ve felt very strongly about contributing to children’s wellbeing, all the while having fun!
What do you enjoy most about it? I love the energy the children bring to each class, how full of life they are and I love how they teach me to be in the present moment.
What’s your favourite yoga pose? I’d say it depends really, but the one that always makes me feel so calm afterwards is supported headstand on legs up the wall!
Aside from yoga, what else do you love? I love travelling, cooking, spending time by water (the sea, a pool, a river) and I love watching tennis too!
According to you, what makes a really great Kids Yoga class? For me, the sign of a really great class is when a child comes up to you after the class and says “That was fun!” and leaves the class feeling relaxed and happy. I think a mixture of connection, fun and enough challenge are all great ingredients to make a really great class!
